Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for full details on our payment terms:

Summary of our payment policy:

  • All payments are due and must be paid at the time treatment is provided

  • A consultation fee will be charged for every appointment with the vet, unless previously stated or included in prior treatment charges e.g. post-op checks.

  • There are also charges for most nurse appointments. Please enquire at the time of booking.

  • If your pet is booked in to see the nurse but has an illness or injury and actually needs to see the vet, a full vet appointment fee will be charged.

  • Payment methods accepted by the practice include cash, debit and credit cards and online payment of a digital invoice.

  • We are not able to offer credit facilities or payment plans.

  • We will endeavour to provide an estimate of treatment costs before any treatment is provided, or to contact you if costs are likely to exceed previous estimates. However, in the case of an emergency it may be difficult to do this, and if your pet requires critical treatment we will act immediately in his or her best interests.

  • We reserve the right to request up to 50% of the anticipated costs of treatment prior to providing treatment.

  • If your pet is staying in at the practice for more than 24 hours, we will update you of your account balance and may ask you to settle your account every 24 hours.

  • It is your responsibility to tell us immediately if you are unable to pay your bill and to discuss alternative treatment options.

  • Veterinary care provided by our out-of-hours service at Swift Emergency Vets may be more expensive. It is charged directly by Swift Emergency Vets and must be paid separately to that practice according to their payment terms.
